... I make a margarita, what about you?
This week started off on quite the note! Monday morning I was rushing around, and the last thing I do is take my dogs out to do their business before leaving for work. I had my smaller dog, Novie, on a leash, and she was tugging me out the front door. I decided to take one dog at a time (because in heels, it can be quite the challenge to take them both at the same time). My second (and larger) dog, Maggie (photo for reference) was inside. I started to shut the door behind me, not realizing it was locked and I had not grabbed my keys. Once it dawned on me that my keys were inside, I went to push the door back open, and Maggie pushed right into it from inside, slamming the door in my face. Novie and I were locked outside, Maggie on the inside.
I frantically shook the door (yep, it was locked) felt my pockets (nope, no keys, no phone) and realized I had been defeated before the day had even started. Long story short, I had to wake up a neighbor, use their cellphone to call John and have him drive back home from work to let me back in. I only had to sit outside for an hour phoneless... #sostressful. Monday - 1, Danielle - 0. Please tell me someone else has had a moment like this?
Thank goodness the week has gotten better since Monday! We have friends in town this weekend, and these are the kind of hilarious stories we share over yummy Sauza Margaritas! You can expect us to be sitting outside under our new party lights, sharing many drinks and many stories. I am so excited to celebrate Johns birthday + Cinco de Mayo this weekend, so tons of tequila will be consumed... and many more stories told. Margarita moments are the best kind!
